Each zombie was designed and modelled from scratch, with a focus on developing a modular trait system: heads, accessories, clothing, props, and skin styles that could combine to produce distinct characters while holding a consistent overall art direction.

The project began as self-directed R&D to push my procedural and generative design pipeline, and to build a personal style library for stylised 3D characters.

Built in Blender using python scripting, the trait system was designed to support large-scale asset variation: dozens of hats, hair, mouth shapes and eye expressions, accessories, and clothing layers, all designed to recombine cleanly.

Working at this volume forced decisions about silhouette readability, palette discipline, and how much personality could be carried by a single trait swap to prove the versatility of a single zombie character design.
